What is the technical meeting schedule?
NAARA technical seminar begins at 2:30 pm on Friday, August 5th.
Friday at 3 PM . Emergency power training. Jack Tiley (ARRL Eastern Washington Technical Coordinator)
Friday at 4 PM . EMP CME scenario. Jack Tiley (ARRL Eastern Washington Technical Coordinator)

Are day guests welcome?
YES! Come and bring a friend for any meeting or all day
on Sabbath. There is no day guest fee. If you wish to
purchase meals, please do so via the registration form in
advance.

Where are meetings held?
Meetings are held in a room (TBD) at the Administration building.

How may you help at the retreat?
Volunteers make this retreat possible. Let us know via the
registration form or email how you would like to
help. We will contact you as needs arise.

May you bring pets?
Pets are not allowed in any buildings. If you bring a pet,
you are responsible for their care, cleanup and any
property, physical damage or disturbance they cause. Service animals are
welcome. Please let us know on the registration form if
you plan to bring a service animal.

Music
Philosophy
We encourage hymns during vespers and Sabbath programs so please bring your own SDA hymnal with you.

Should we bring our instruments?
Yes, Instrumentalists are welcome to play at our meetings. Please bring your own music sheets and music stand if you are able.

How do we sign up to help with music?
Circle the appropriate answer on the registration form and
the music coordinator will contact you. All special music is
reviewed prior to the retreat and the music schedule is
posted at Registration. Please no sound tracks for special
music. Song service leaders and pianists are contacted to
help select music with which they are familiar. Thanks for
being willing to share the talents God has given you.

Expenses
Retreat expenses include facility rental
fees, and cleaning costs. The cost to host NAARA
2016 is approximately $2,500 dollars.
NAARA collects three offerings (Friday evening and
Sabbath morning, Sabbath evening) to cover the expenses of this retreat.
Please prayerfully consider your contribution.

What if I want to donate but I am not able to attend?
You may contribute to NAARA this the year by sending your donation as noted in the registration form. Thank you.

If you are registering after July 29, 2016, call Keith at 509-540-0544 to confirm your lodging and meals and to make
payment arrangements.

Option 2
Download the registration form, complete, saved it with a new name, attach it and email it to keithrcarlin@charter.net
Submit Payment through PayPal To naarasda@gmail.com
Keith will confirm your registration via email.

Lodging
What accommodations are available?
1. Dorm rooms sleep 2 adults and 4 children. There are
two twin beds, bring bedding/mats for everyone.
2. Tent camping on the ball field surrounded by trees.
3. RV sites. (no hook ups)

What shower/restroom facilities are available?
Showers and restroom facilities are located on each floor
in the girls’ dorm. They will be labelled “Men” or “Women”.
For those tenting or in RV’s, restroom/shower facilities are
at the rear of the gym. Trash dumpsters will be
conveniently located as well.

Meals
May we prepare our own meals?
Yes, meals may be prepared at your RV or tent site. Bring
your own supplies and equipment. Cooking appliances of
any sort are not allowed in the dorm rooms. Plan
accordingly if you are bringing your own meals and
staying in the dorm. Campus kitchen facilities are not
available for use.

Are meals served?
The UCA cafeteria is offering meatless, plant based,
dairy/egg free, gluten free meals. Food may not be taken
out of the cafeteria.
Meal tickets are purchased via the registration form. A
limited number of meal tickets will be available at
Registration during the retreat.

What about Sabbath meal tickets?
If possible, purchase Sabbath meal tickets in advance via
the registration form, or at Registration once retreat
starts. No tickets are sold on Sabbath.

Are meal tickets refundable?
Missed meals are not refunded or transferred to another
meal or day. If you have tickets you are not able to use,
consider selling/giving them to another family.

What is the menu?
Below is a sample menu for NAARA, it is subject to change.

Friday night supper
Fresh pizza (sprouted pizza crust, gluten free crust; spaghetti sauce, bechamel sauce, chipotle sauce, ranch, tofu, feta, spinach,
onions, tomatoes, olives, pineapple, sweet pepper, banana peppers, mushrooms, oregano, artichoke hearts)

Sabbath Breakfast
Brown gravy with patties, crumbles, toast, oven roasted potatoes, oatmeal, tofu, fruit

Sabbath Dinner
lasagna, mixed green salad, steamed broccoli, baguettes with roasted garlic, peach cobbler

Sabbath Supper
Toast, rice, fresh fruit, salad, pop corn, spreads

Sunday Breakfast
Waffles, syrup mixed berry sauce, whipped topping, tofu, oatmeal, oven roasted potato O’Brien
